Instrumentation/Automation Engineer

Profile

INSTRUMENTATION-AUTOMATION FIELD ENGINEER with proven experience related to Instrumentation and Automation systems of Parks (+6 Yrs) in Oil & Gas automated facilities on Local or International Projects.

Proven experience of maintenance of oil & gas facilities.
Knowledge of Major processes Upstream Equipment, automated system Instrumentation Troubleshooting.

Reading and interpretation of technical documentation . Candidate suggest spare components list and submit purchase inquiries to procurement.

Technical interface with Automation/Instrumentation Vendors
Capabilities to carry out OJT (on the job internal training) for Contractor Instrumentation and Automation Craft.

Participate in training sessions for Workers and ability to prepare-read Failure Reports and Root Cause Analysis report. Coordinate maintenance/repair activities. Experience on pre-commissioning and commissioning (instrumentation calibration, check and tuning) is a plus.

Requirements:

• knowledge of major PLC, DCS, automation process and communication protocols
• Solid understanding of computer programming and software development
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and perform system testing
• Good knowledge on controlling systems such as SCADA communication standards (especially for Power Plant).
• Strong knowledge on field instrumentation equipment and control systems, loop checks and transmitter calibration.
• Ability to read and understand schematic diagrams, P&ID and pumps, boilers, Steam Generators, electrical Motors control systems
• Analyze diagrams and drawings to perform the maintenance activities and eventually suggest improvement or modification ,

• Kaeser technological air systems.

Basic knowledge of electrical low voltage and systems is demanded as part of the background of the candidate.
