Intermediate Full-Stack Web Developer (remote)

Position Overview:

We are looking for an intermediate full-stack web applications developer to join our team, on contract, to help develop mobile and web-based solutions for our clients. You will work in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of highly skilled senior developers, architects, user experience designers and product visionaries.

While we are seeking a full-time candidate, we are open to your joining our team on a part-time basis with the option to convert to a full-time role at a mutually convenient time.

Position Responsibilities

• In collaboration with the team, develop new applications/features using modern web technologies, frameworks and tools

• Write clean, concise, readable code that follows common design patterns and principles while maintaining coding standards and practices

• Solve programming challenges - front-end, middle-tier and back-end

• Participate in scrum meetings and deliver features on time as a team

• Manage time and multiple, competing priorities

• Learn new technologies and report on them as needed to help challenge the architecture

• Help maintain positive, highly collaborative, execution-focused team environment

Job Requirements:

Must Have:

• BSc in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or equivalent experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in full-stack development experience

• Detail-oriented with a passion for writing clean, easy-to-understand, maintainable and testable code

• Front-end skills including HTML5, CSS, jQuery, AJAX, JSON, ReactJS and/or AngularJS

• Experience in Java, J2EE with good understanding of data structures and design patterns

• Working knowledge with GitHub and Jira

• Experience with Agile (Scrum) development

• Demonstrable problem-solving skills

• Stay current with the industry trends and best practices

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Independent (ability to work remotely), self-starter and collaborative team player

Nice to Have

• Mobile applications development - iOS and/or Android

• Experience in Java, J2EE development 

• Knowledge or experience in QA testing
