Role Description
Manage 2-3 projects simultaneously, while coordinating the analysts allocated to the project (., sourcing projects, bid/spend analyses)
Responsible for the quality of the projects managed; review work thoroughly to ensure consistently high quality output, value addition and adherence to timelines
Be able to effectively manage short and long term staffing and workload issues
Be able to judge required level of own involvement on projects, execute parts of projects if situation so demands
Provide analysts with effective verbal/ written feedback; counsel analysts on technical as well as business skills and guide them on best practices
Keep analysts motivated, handle difficult situations such as dissatisfaction/disagreement among analysts, escalate to seniors in a timely manner
Manage the client communication throughout the projects managed (through conference calls and e-mails)
Highlight key takeaways and make recommendations to clients

Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in procurement (FMCG, CPG industries are a plus)
At least 1 year of experience in managing small teams of at least 3-5 people
Experience in managing people across multiple projects; manage resources efficiently
Experience of understanding client requirements and translate into end results within defined time frames
Experience in managing a client facing role (over the phone and email); ability to manage client expectations, understand their requirements and execute the task with the given team on a regular basis
Proficient in using MS Office applications (PowerPoint, Excel and Word) to deliver the desired output
Experience in delivering extensive excel analyses (that imply complex formulas and large sets of data, dashboards)
Excellent communication skills (both written and oral)
Knowledge and understanding of sourcing tools such as Ariba, Jaggaer, Scout, (Sourcing, Spend modules) etc and experience in developing category strategies are an advantage.
