IT Applications Project Manager (with SAP experience)

Ideal Profile

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
Relevant experience on a similar role in IT area or potential to grow to a next step;
Experience in system implementation – especially SAP;
An understanding of concepts, terminology and practical application of current and emerging technologies;
Project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning and executing projects from vision through implementation;
Ability to work with various teams or with various personalities;
Very good verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms;
Ability to work without close supervision (remote), keeping focused on short and long-term objectives.
Good organizational skills, very detail oriented
Analytical skills for identifying and solving problems
Able to priorities and to come up with smart solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Conducting and overseeing the implementation and the very good functioning of the IT systems and applications, while offering training and support to the internal departments (like SAP system);
Administering servers, while being responsible for DB maintenance, back-ups, role settings, users, permissions;
Verifying the correctness and security of the inserted data, while monitoring the correlation between their configuration, standards and the initial protocols;
Developing, maintaining and adapting the internal reporting system in order to meet the needs of the internal users;
Testing IT systems after application development activities;
Analysing solutions and proposing informatics systems to correspond the need of the company;
Setting and ensuring logs for the informatics systems;
Signalising various deficiencies and errors regarding applications and reporting systems to the Department Managers;
Coming up with various proposals to the IT superior and to the Managers regarding to the development and maintenance of the IT systems;
The Project Manager acquires general knowledge of specific business processes used by systems applications and may participate in the business support planning process. In this capacity, they must be aware of current and planned projects in their own IT group to promote application sharing;
Is responsible for monitoring and reporting to management on the status of project efforts and may be held accountable for controlling project plans and costs;
Understanding the procedures and expected system performance associated with various applicable technologies.
