IT Consultant for Archiving and Backup - IT TSR

Job Description

• Follow established procedures in order to provide the Corporate IT Archiving service, as well as to manage Incidents, Change and Service Improvements internally at Continental.
• Implementation and support of various Archive, Storage and Backup technologies in compliance with global corporate standards.
• Work in collaboration with the Global Corporate IT Infrastructure Team to provide quality solution, support and maintain the Corporate IT Archiving services.
• Innovate and implement new technological strategies and plans in compliance with the Global IT standards and various business demands.
• Create and maintain documentation on all managed environment and its processes.
• Perform technical analysis and troubleshooting for various Archiving, Storage and Backup appliances/machines.
• Continuously optimize implemented infrastructure.
• Enforce, support and improve relevant security concepts and guidelines and ensure compliance with corporate standards
• Support external IT service providers as needed.
• Conduct training for key users, end-users and trainer when necessary
• Ensure that appropriate changes are assessed for their impact on service levels.
• Provide 3rd level support thru Continental’s Incident Management following the Archiving Corporate Infrastructure service of Continental Internal Operational Level Agreement (OLA).

• Knowledge of Archiving and Backup Technologies,
• Ability to troubleshoot Archiving Storage and Backup problems, 
• Enterprise Backup Systems and Architecture
• Process Automation skills are an advantage
• ITIL Knowledge (Incident, Change and Problem Management).
