About the job

Visma IT & Communications is looking for a passionate Senior Project Manager. You will be managing large, complex and cross-functional projects and you will be responsible for leading and motivating teams to deliver on time, within budget and to the right quality. 

Responsibilities:

• Concurrently manage multiple projects that are at various stages in the project life cycle.

• Plan, execute, monitor and control  all aspects of the project lifecycle. 

• Rigorously manage scope through a structured change management process to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed time, cost, and quality parameters with focus on delivering the business benefits.

• Provide status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues.

• Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones

• Act as an internal quality control check for the project

• Perform risk management to minimize project risks

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s in  Engineering, IT, Business Administration or Economics with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading large and complex projects

• Professional certifications related to project management are a must (. PMP or Prince 2 Foundation & Practitioner)

• Experience in managing multiple technical projects of varied complexity utilizing cross-functional teams in multiple locations. Experience of managing projects in a global matrix organization is essential

• Proactively analyze variances against plans to assess trends threatening agreed scope, time, cost, and quality commitments. Identify signs that a project may be at risk and escalate quickly and appropriately.

• Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.

• Highly effective written and oral communication skills in Business English and experience dealing with a wide range of people
