In addition to a large editorial news section and Germany's by far most popular free e-mail service, our client offers paid subscriptions to a variety of internet-based services, such as paid e-mail accounts, virus protection software or web hosting services. In Romania, they are developing applications related to calendaring (they are also a member of the CalConnect international consortium), document editing (where they integrate Libre Office Online, an Open Source project to which we also contribute), messaging and web hosting.
The Free Products team is responsible for several products in the GMX (de, comecosystems):
- Calendar
- Online Office (Editor and Viewer)
- Mail Support Tool
They are currently searching for a colleague to help them further develop the great products above, with focus at the moment on the Mail Support Tool, which is a key centralized customer information tool developed for customer care. It is directly connected to customer care ticketing system and gathers all relevant information via dedicated APIs which connect to all the portal products.
Your responsibilities:
- Implement new features based on requirements received from the Product Owner.
- Focus on code quality, security, and scalability.
- Participate in the architecture of the product when needed.
- Closely collaborate with the other team members and stakeholders, but also with colleagues responsible with other products in order to achieve a high level of integration between systems.
Needed:
- Very good Java knowledge
- Good Javascript knowledge (preferably Angular framework)
- Willingness to work full stack (Java, JavaScript, Docker, Kubernetes)
- Past experience with web applications and frameworks like Spring-boot, SpringMVC, Hibernate
