Junior Data Transformation Analyst

The Junior Data Transformation Analyst will work in a fast-paced and demanding environment, as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive combined industry experience.

You will help by gathering stakeholder requirements and translating them to actionable intelligence, solving complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Specific responsibilities include:

• Assess structured and unstructured data sources
• Perform data import and transformation
• Understand business and technical requirements
• Develop scripts for data import, quality assessments, and error handling
• Code, test, debug and deploy scripting solutions
• Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using various technologies.
• Ensure that deliverables meet or exceed functional, technical and performance requirements
• Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen

Essential Requirements

• Educated to degree level in Computer Science or closely related field
• Strong analytical skills with experience in problem-solving and being able to implement and deliver solutions
• Ability and willingness to rapidly learn new data-related skills, expanding technical knowledge in a broad range of projects
• Proven oral/written communication skills in English, with stakeholders at a variety of levels
• Experience with data structures, data manipulation, transformation and workflows.

Nice to Haves

• Previous experience with HTML/CSS/XML
• Knowledge about data validation – DTD, XML Schema
• Previous experience/knowledge related to banking/financial services
• Previous experience with SQL/Mongo DB, Microsoft Excel
