Junior Technical Writer

The Analog Business Unit of Microchip Technology Romania is seeking a fresh graduate junior Technical Writer to join the Application Team located in Bucharest. This team is responsible for supporting, assisting and designing new evaluation and reference designs and the Technical Writer is in charge of reviewing, editing and managing posting on website of all documents issued by engineers.

Job Description:

• Be part of Tech Editors (Writers)
• Accurate editing, proofreading, and formatting of technical documents and other technical literature while adhering to company’s standards and guidelines
• Actively communicating, working and reviewing documents with Engineering Product Development Teams and setting delivery expectations
• Maintain and deliver the required documentation in accordance with the project schedule and in a timely manner
• Support document control, distribution and the website posting process
• Occasional travel abroad for short periods of time

Requirements:

• Higher education within Computer Science/Electronics/Electrical Engineering, English, Journalism, Communications or a related field preferred
• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Excellent proofreading and editing skills
• Attention to details
• Good computer skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, Power Point), Adobe Acrobat; experience with Visio, FrameMaker, or any other document formatting tool is a plus
• Good communication skills and teamwork
• Ability to assimilate and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner
• Strong work ethic
