Layout Engineer for ReDTC Team

ReDesign to Cost (ReDTC) is the R&D contribution to material cost reduction based on technical design changes for projects in series production.

Here`s how a day of work might look like:

• Creation / Layout of a PCB design by placing the components and routing the connections based on the electrical design provided by the HW engineer;
• Layout design guideline conform design especially respecting EMC and EMI requirements;
• Creation and maintenance of manufacturing data (Gerber files, Dome) and documentation;
• Document design, implementation and test results for own work products;
• Regularly report the project status and deviations (delay, process deviations) to Project Responsible and
• Line Management as defined within the project;
• Communication with project team in order to exchange information/find improvements.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

• A University degree in applied electronics, telecommunication, mechatronics or similar areas;
• Advanced Layout expert tool experience (Mentor Graphics, Eagle);
• Layout guideline knowledge;
• Work experience in product development for automotive control units or electronic systems.
  
  Desirable Skills/Qualifications:
• Application (division) specific layout knowledge;
• EMC / EMI compliant HW design knowledge;
