Lead QA Automation

What You’ll Do

As a Lead  QA Automation Engineer you will be working as part of a cross-functional agile project team to maintain and update a regression suite using JavaScript, Ruby, Cucumber, and Selenium WebDriver to ensure coverage of our continuously evolving JavaScript-driven and Ruby/Rails website. You should be comfortable working in Mac OS X as your primary system and using the UNIX command line on both local and remote systems. You should have some familiarity with Windows for cross-platform testing and be familiar with major concerns of cross-browser and cross-platform testing. You should have some exposure to mobile testing (iOS and/or Android) in the context of web or mobile application testing. You will own task assignments inside the team as well as the creation of typical QA documentation (test strategy and test cases).

Skills We Are Stoked About

• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in quality assurance engineering
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field is mandatory
• Experience building and extending test frameworks and test scripts (you will be writing automation tests rather than simply execute them)
• Familiar with Git, Jenkins CI frameworks
• Recent, hands-on experience with scripting in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Ruby, Shell, Perl, Python, Java, C, C++, C#
• Experience using Puppeteer / Selenium WebDriver to drive web UI tests
• Ability to troubleshoot, debug, and identify the relevant information in reporting a defect
• Ability to coordinate and communicate technical information, verbally and in writing, in a manner digestible to all stakeholders (development, design, management)
• Knowledge of HTML, basic CSS, JavaScript
• Solid understanding of software test methodologies and the role of a Software Engineer in Test in an Agile environment
• Exceptional attention to details
