Leather and artificial material Engineer

Manage the process in research and development leather stains, requiring expertise on sheath materials (leather, artificial leather, and glue).

• Analyze customer specifications, test conditions and synthesize the requests and needs for material validation;
• Proposals for definition of the material according to customer specifications
• Proposes the tests set up in order to validate the mechanical components, physical-chemical and look, before the tool is launched;
• Define the testing plan and interpret the results in order to validate the products;
• Responsible for FEA analysis interpretation and defining the risk points on products.

(Knows styles, customer specifications, and participates in a redaction of DRD – DVP)

• Guarantees the follow-up of the development schedules of the projects assigned (pre-development & development)

• Participates in major milestones, design reviews and project meetings
• Goes to customer, supplier and Autoliv sites and collaborates with their material teams to track and validate the integration of specific requirements on steering wheels
• Involved in the dimensioning of the products of the projects that are affected by proposing changes
• Analyses the gaps between the different test results and explain the differences.

As a Local Design Authority and Global Design Authority function you will need to:

- Create and up-date roadmap on Global Product Management materials by:

- Signing and up-dating Master plans as wrapped

- Updating global ALV requirements for leather and wires

- Signing and Updating material specifications

- Product Life Management Flagging activity.
