Linux System Engineer

Requirements:

• Previous working experience in a similar role for at least 2 years;
• Strong English writing and communication skills;
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field;
• In-depth knowledge of Linux: RedHat, CentOS, Debian, etc.;
• Hands-on experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB;
• Familiarity with VMWare management;
• Experience in Shell and/or Python scripting is a plus;
• Solid knowledge of protocols such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, TCP/IP stack, VLANSs;
• Strong problem solving and communication skills.

 Responsibilities: 

• Proactively maintain and develop all Linux infrastructure technology;
• Engineering of systems administration-related solutions for various projects and operational needs;
• Maintain best practices on managing systems and services across all environments;
• Proactively monitoring system performance and capacity planning;
• Manage the implementation of solutions and configuration;
• Create and modify scripts or applications to perform tasks;
• Provide input on ways to improve the stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment;
• Collaborate with other teams in order to meet SLA's.
