Linux Systems Administrator

You will administrate the OPISNAVX server infrastructure:

• Operating System Maintenance of Debian Linux Server
• Software and Hardware troubleshooting (Debian Linux – Environment)
• Network troubleshooting and problem solving
• Server management, installing, maintaining and upgrading
• Managing software deployments, backup and restore operations
• Monitoring the systems and the applications, performance analysis
• High-availability and redundant systems
• Feature automation through scripting

Your Team

You will be working in the Linux systems administration Team in Bucharest and help us keep the team redundant and prepared for any problems which might appear in the Linux infrastructure.

Your expertise

You have

• have previous experience in server administration or tech support
• have good knowledge of the Linux operating systems (if it's Debian, even better)
• have intermediate Knowledge of MySQL and InnoDB
• have good understanding of the Apache web server, SSL and various configuration scenarios
• know how a networks work, what IP is and commonly used communication protocols and
  related software is something you can easily understand
• understand how netfilter works and you are able to build a basic firewall
• are able to debug and troubleshoot various problems
• have knowledge of intrusion detection/prevention techniques
• have good English knowledge, both written and spoken

It’s a bonus if you also have:

• understand the concepts of “high availability”
• have experience of Big Data technologies, including setting up and running Hadoop clusters
• are able to understand code written in Python, Perl, Bash or PHP
• regular expressions are not some strange sequence of weird characters
• know what is what when it comes to hardware
• have Romanian knowledge
