Manufacturing engineer

Tasks and responsibilities:

PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT

• Supports technically the production teams according to the schedule established by the general supervisor. Generally speaking, the work schedule is central to Monday-Friday, but it can be modified according to the needs of the process by keeping the weekly number of hours.
• Develop and update operational standards for the process that is responsible.
• Proposes, develops and delivers training programs for staff in the production stream to improve the technical level.
• Coordinates the activity of a production area in the absence of the production supervisor when this authority is delegated to it;
• Takes / handing over the duties of colleagues with the same function from other areas in case of absenteeism;
• Participates in the daily meetings of the module, signals the problems, proposes, implements and tracks the results of the actions decided;
• Prepares periodical reports, proposes and follows the actions in the area of responsibility;
• Prepares and analyzes data for OAE calculation; takes the leading role in improving this indicator.

MAINTENANCE AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT OF EQUIPMENT

• It contributes actively to the proper functioning of the equipment in order to achieve the objectives of security, quality, cost and timely deliveries.
• Proposes and contributes to the improvement of the preventive maintenance plan.
• Analyze maintenance work (preventive or corrective) in order to improve the methods of implementation, to reduce the duration of intervention and to reduce corrective work in favor of preventive
• In the case of the acquisition of new equipment it participates in the acceptance procedure, which is responsible for monitoring the achievement of a high level of maintenance.
• Designs, manages and improves procedures, operating standards for corrective maintenance.
• Organize and coordinate outsourcing for outsourced maintenance for non-recurring / corrective activities.
• Leads the TPM implementation.
• Contribute to the availability of the machine, with cost optimization for the equipment in the technological area allocated.
• Participates actively in establishing and tracking preventive maintenance programs, based on the data provided by the maintenance and technical departments and their own audits.
• Track the consumption of spare parts and ensure that the minimum inventory is correctly dimensioned; investigates ways to reduce this inventory.
• Is active in preparing technical specifications for new equipment.
• Participates in the physical reception, tests, commissions and contributes to the equipment approval process.

QUALITY, PROCESS AND PRODUCT

• Contributes actively to ensuring that the processes work in the capability conditions established with customers.
• Participate in defect analysis sessions and implement actions to improve product and process quality.
• Take the necessary steps to ensure control and quality of production when implementing a change in the process;
• Use the DNC analysis tool and participate in generating and implementing corrective actions.
• Monitor and streamline the operation of Poka-Yoke operating system prevention and detection devices.
• Participate in the development and updating of PFMEA for production equipment.
• Know and be aware of the importance of its activity and how it contributes to the achievement of quality objectives (impact on product quality, contribution to achievement, maintenance and quality improvement, including consequences in case of non-compliance with customer requirements).

Requirements:

• Graduate of higher technical education
• Minimum 2 years in an industrial activity
• Good knowledge of the production management activity
• Coordination skills
• Innovative spirit
• Excellent communicator inside and outside the production team
• A personal example of compliance with the company's rules
• SPC knowledge, capabilities, FMEA, CP, PFD is a big advantage
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
• SAP usage
• Good English knowledge
• Six Sigma Knowledge is an advantage
