In our Europe R&D Food Preparation team in Satu Mare we are looking for a dynamic and ambitious professional with an R&D mindset who would take up the below challenges.
A REGULAR DAY AT WORK
The Mechanical Designer has the responsibility to design, develop and validate innovative technological solutions for new products/modules/systems and current product improvements by generation, evaluation, analysis, development and validation of technology component and system design concepts for Food Preparation across all the regions.
The duties will include:
• Drive the execution of module development project/activities to deliver Technology Roadmap, according to modularization guidelines of subsystems and fulfilling Consumer Needs
• Identify and define requirements specification, and validate functionality, performance and reliability, taking care of manufacturability, quality and safety requirements to meet the specified function/features, quality and cost targets;
• Application of formal evaluation methodologies for test and validation of technology modules, components and subsystems
• Develop detailed design and test specifications to meet the specified function/features, quality and cost targets
• Create design options to meet design specifications, manufacturing processes and assembly requirements
• Participate in system and subsystem reviews and in global Technology projects
• Participate in supplier evaluation and selection
• Follow up the introduction of new technologies into products
• Support all Electrolux Functions with expertise and competence in cooking product and for quality improvement and cost reduction activities.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Technical university background
• Good knowledge of products, local market requirements and consumer insight
• Knowledge of correlative design tool tool (for example, CATIA is for CAD or other software);
• Technical performance: knowledge of product and process technologies has a good skill in mechanics or fluid dynamics/combustion or other correlative area.
• is able to clearly present technical information to groups such as project/team meetings
• Robust, structured and professional engineering approach in all activities
• is able to generate several alternative solutions and evaluate their feasibility
• Knowledge of project management principles and supports projects metrics and deliverables
• Interaction with suppliers on technical development
• Good understanding of product cost structure and the financial impact of engineering on the business
• Demonstrated ability in finalizing high quality technical studies/assignments
• Successful design/redesign and implementation into production of components, cost reductions or service and quality improvements.
