Overall responsibility
"Provides project support as a member of a project team; MEP engineering;
to deliver calculations, frequently preparation of progress valuations and claims."
Key area of responsibilities:
1. Project planning responsibilities
Reviews design and tracks changes in plans and bill of quantities
Supports the process of contract negotiation
Estimates the quantity and costs of materials
2. Project launch responsibilities
Participates in the handover of projects documents
Reviews the contract for understanding the impact of variations and potential disputes
Organizes all activities needed for starting the execution of works
3. Works execution responsibilities
Participates in project meetings (project kickoff, client alignment, value engineering, status meeting, progress review, etc.)
Keeps the MEP Project Manager informed of progress and pending problems
Supports the MEP Project Manager on:
recommendations for updating current working estimates, participate in value engineering meetings, evaluate cost proposals for changes, and assist with contract negotiations.
contractual claims and disputes
interim payment certification of sub-contractors interim valuations and final accounts. Maintain registers of variations, delay, extension times and claims.
Applies company procedures when dealing with disputes, especially with regard to subcontractors and suppliers
4. Project handover, snagging and warranty period responsibilities
Supports the preparation of needed documentation, Handing Over Protocols, Material Approval Forms, including the technical book
Organizes the handover of documents to MEP Project Manager
