The Development Team

We have a fast paced environment, changes occur daily and new ideas are always valued and considered. We love to base our decisions on evidence, reason and user testing. We are a small team so we don’t waste time writing long cumbersome documentations, but we make sure that every task is first fully understood and that everyone in the team understands what we are building and why.

We like to use the best tools available to write code. This means that sometimes we have to mix between old established methods and new revolutionary ones. Currently this means Xcode 8 with a mix of Objective-C and Swift, Cocoapods, both Eclipse and Android Studio, Git, AWS.

Your Role

This role comes with great options of career progression as you will be one of the first full time mobile developers for our native applications, in a business that has a strong customer base and huge opportunity. You will be working on multiple projects simultaneously, being it one of our in-house applications or custom apps we build for our renowned customers.

We are looking for a self-driven individual who will take ownership of all aspects of the development process, from planning and design to coding and testing while also managing the projects and tasks. You will also have to work closely with other developers and collaborate to overcome difficult tasks and integrate with other services.

Skills & Requirements

• +1 years experience developing Android mobile apps

• You have completed a degree in Computer Science or related field

• Experience of both iOS and Android is a big advantage

• Strong Java, XML, Android SDK skills and best practices

• Experience using Eclipse with ADT and Android Studio

• A portfolio of Android apps

• Experience with multithreading and asynchronous programming

• Real life experience dealing with REST APIs

• Knowledge of using GIT

• Knowledge of working with JSON and XML

• Knowledge of uploading apps on the Google Play Store

• Experience with enterprise apps and MDM distribution is an advantage

• A great level of enthusiasm for software development and be committed to writing robust, maintainable code

• A thirst for knowledge and for continuously learning new skills

• A proven interest in mobile apps, latest trends and designs

• Great communication skills and the ability to process information quickly and logically

• The capacity to step up a gear when needed, to meet deadlines and deliver great code

• A genuine desire to help build products which makes people’s lives better
