For our client, an international telecommunications service provider, we are looking for a NOC and Technical Support Engineer
NOC and Technical Support Engineer
YOUR FUTURE ROLE
- Monitor customers’ networks and act according to the relevant process;
- Answer to service requests from customers;
- Support for engineers in the regions;
- Follow helpdesk process to support service request;
- Work in lab to re-produce field issues and for self-training.
JOB REQUIRMENTS
- Electronic/Telecommunications/Computer engineer (BA/BSc);
- Proven knowledge of IP Networking (TCP/IP and OSI stack); protocols (VLAN, Q-in-Q, STP, LLDP, etc) Routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP, etc.)
- Proven knowledge Microwave / Radio communications systems
- Excellent English knowledge - fluent in reading, writing and speaking
- Willing to work in shifts, including weekends
- Customer oriented, solution focused and excellent communication skills
- Experience in installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of microwave communication systems;
- years of experience with interfacing customers (support, presale);
- CCNA or equivalent knowledge;
- Proven knowledge of PDH, SDH, Synchronization
- SNMP, Radius, TACACS.
