NPI Delivery Executive

Purpose Statement

Deliver and champion the deployment of the NPI Deployment process across cross-functional teams to successfully deliver projects in all categories in accordance with planned timing, volume, cost, and quality criteria.

Key Accountabilities

• Deliver the deployment of the NPI Deployment process in all categories across functional teams, to successfully deliver projects, in accordance with planned timing, volume, cost, and quality criteria.
• Utilize best governance practices and associated system (Decision Rights, Protocols and the system usage) and participate or provide inputs to the appropriate decision-making forums Local SOP, PDT’s etc.
• Manage the delivery of the designated NPI Deployment projects end-to-end utilizing the system. Ensuring business functions are effectively managing; resource allocation, project budget, the creation and completion of the local business case (as required), project risk (ensuring adequate risk mitigation is in place), deal with operational issues, and highlight lessons learned through improvement plans during reviews
• Contribute to the delivery of financial objectives of NPIs Deployment as per the cycle plan, which generates growth through innovation, optimization through productivity and regulatory compliance of the portfolio. Ensure that Local business cases, provide the appropriate transfer price, capex, gross margin impact and write off information required to allow effective business decisions.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, aligning and influencing the required activities related to Marketing, Product and Operations, during the NPI development and deployment phases, whilst managing interdependencies with other functions.
• Communicate information and knowledge effectively to the required global, regional, and local functions to ensure overall business visibility and alignment to NPI Deployment.
• May have people management responsibility, ensuring the required skills and development for team members, and that performance and compliance to procedures is effectively managed.
• Deliver performance management of the deployment of NPI Deployment as per related cycle plan metrics, whilst minimizing write offs and ensuring productivity programmes are delivered to generate anticipated benefits.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Degree or equivalent in a science or related subject.
• Proven ability to manage complex issues, work independently and manage detail as validated by experience.
• Knowledge of NPI Deployment gained through project and program management experience.
• Good awareness of innovation pipeline.
• Good knowledge of NPI Deployment in the tobacco industry, with a background in NPI management.
• Good knowledge of technical requirements, lead times, and NPI Deployment protocols.
• Demonstrable project management, planning, and operational implementation skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to influence key stakeholders at a variety of levels.
• Excellent project and program management skills, effective engagement skills, and the ability to influence stakeholders.
