This is a fantastic career opportunity in Craiova for an experienced Operations Financial Controller leading a team of 11 Financial Analysts and Accountants who are responsible for accounting activities of our manufacturing plant in Romania. You will be an influential member of the leadership team, building strategic relationships to link financial strategy with both short and long-term business needs.
Responsibilities;
- Responsible for all accounting, budgeting, financial controls, and costs for our Romanian manufacturing plant.
- Apply consistent accounting practices at the operations level, participating in the senior leadership team representing the finance operations.
- Drive key business metrics, providing input into development of business strategies, and provide financial support for new business development.
- Manage monthly and quarterly financial reporting processes; leads finance communication across the site; developing and presenting financial analysis to business partners.
- Manage the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecast processes, providing leadership to business to meet cost and working capital targets.
- Develop a strong control environment across the key business cycles.
- Collaborate with business partners to ensure processes are efficient and cost effective to improve the profitability of the site
- Partner with business leaders to create operational efficiencies driving continuous improvements and growth initiatives.
- Manage financial support to comply with any governmental, regulatory or local requirements, such as tax and statutory accounting requirements.
- Lead financial analysis on capital projects and manage overall capital management process at entity level.
- Allocate financial resources to support business initiatives, including accounts receivable collections, managing inventory and payables, etc.
- Coach and mentor all entity finance staff; assigns work according to availability, skills, and developmental needs; assesses performance and provides feedback to direct reports.
- Support Supply Chain function with inventory management, creating and implementing processes for planning, forecasting, and reporting activities and preparing balance sheet reconciliations for valuation and inventory reserves.
- Ensure inventory accounting is accurate and lead the inventory process (direct and indirect) from a finance perspective.
To be successful in this role you will need;
- A relevant degree in finance, accounting or economics would be preferred. Substantial, relevant experience will also be considered.
- A processional qualification (such as ACCA) is highly desirable
- Existing experience in Statutory Financial Reporting (. monthly VAT reconciliation, support in annual audit deliverables. Annual Report Preparation etc.)
- Existing experience in local and US GAAP is required to be considered.

- You are data driven with exceptional analytical skills to solve problems and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Fluency in English and Romanian skills are essential.
