Outbound Leader - Logistician

Manage the outbound process and team members to ensure all critical metrics and targets are achieved for all raw and pack materials required for production.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement work process between local warehouse and plant to ensure timely call off to fulfill production requirements

Participate in selection and ramp up of local external warehouse to ensure optimum overflow

Train plant warehouse staff to execute and follow defined work processes.

Define and execute shipping strategy from the end of the line to trucks with plant and planning teams

Drive warehousing handling and shipping operations to excellence in all operational variables, making the operation a high-reaching advantage for the business and better serve our customers.

Assess trucks capacity requirements and share it with central teams.

Cross-functional communication and operational inter-phases (ie Plant, Planning, , etc)

Ensure all shipments are processed in time.

Ensure compliance to all Health and Safety legislation / guidelines for self and staff.

Ensure standards are maintained at all times in house and in local 3PL outbound area.

Review and act daily on operational targets and achievements / results.

Raise issues to senior management within an appropriate time frame.

Provide warehouse management with end of day / shift handover information.

Ensure all supplier deliveries and returns are received, checked, processed and put away within agreed timelines.

Ensure all transfers are processed immediately upon arrival into warehouse.

Provide reports to Logistics Manager / Warehouse Manager as and when requested.

Generate internal performance reporting in order that efficiency, quality and trends can be monitored and assessed.

Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in Outbound processes / logistics processes.

SAP experience

English – basic level

Able to get along with external partners.

Rigorous in setting up processes from scratch.
