Packaging Engineer

Overview: The Packaging Engineer is responsible for development and optimization of disposable and returnable packaging

Key Activities:

• Is part of the implementation teams for new projects
• Together with colleagues from Logistics, Engineering, Project Management and Purchasing departments, develops the packaging necessary for the protection and transport of components and finished products
• Responsible for testing and validating the packaging
• Permanently analyzes the possibilities of improving costs by modifying packaging
• Participates in storage/transportation planning/improvement activities
• Prepares and revises the logistics concept for each client
• Prepares work instructions and instructs department colleagues on packaging methods for finished products and storage methods
• Treats logistical complaints received from the customer
• Participates to periodic inventories

 Desired Profile:

• University degree technical profile
• Experience in a similar position in automotive industry
• Working experience in a multidisciplinary team
• Very good knowledge of PC operating (Microsoft Office package)
• Knowledge for using a 2D/3D design software (. AutoCAD)
• Team player with an open minded attitude
• Strong communicator both written and verbal in English
• Self-efficient and organized in prioritizing tasks and projects
