Your day to day 

Provides  operation  and  maintenance  at high  quality standards  and  efficiency  for IT equipment(servers, backup solutions) and related equipment. 

Be part of an international 7x 24h server security patching installation team which consists of technical specialists responsible for installing security patches and patch bundles on all servers in scope of Vodafone 

With these activities you will have a great impact on our business 

• Patch Management 

• Ensure that . patching activities will be performed in order to guarantee the maximum security level of VF infrastructure. 

• Maintain current knowledge of available patches 

• Ensure that patches are installed properly 

• Test systems after installation and documenting all associated procedures 

• Automation of patching and vulnerability 

• Contribute to the implementation of automated patching and vulnerability mechanism by using BladeLogic automation platform 

• Quality Improvement Initiatives 

• Promote and support on improvement initiatives within the Vodafone Group organization 

• Incident Management (diagnose problems, determine the root cause, implement corrective solutions for the incident, status reporting). 

With these skills you are a great candidate: 

• Good knowledge of Linux OS (Red Hat Enterprise Linux) 

• OS patching knowledge 

• Good troubleshooting skills 

• Good understanding of clustering solutions (Veritas Cluster) 

• Good knowledge of procedural programming and shell scripting
