People & Organisational Analytics Expert

British American Tobacco Global Business Services currently has an exciting new opportunity for a People & Organisational Analytics Expert,  joining us on a permanent basis, in our Bucharest offices.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Competent in the selection and application of appropriate statistic and modelling techniques for BAT’s management and non-management global population, who is continually developed to support the maturity of the HR analytics journey to achieve a higher performing service offering
  • Supports the design and implementation of analytics solutions that meet the needs of BAT’s management and non-management global population, underpinned by a sound knowledge of BAT strategic and operating plans
  • Delivers the technical build of analytical insights for Global Functions, managing scope, quality and usability of analytical solutions
  • Provides deep dive analysis and insights into key areas of the HR space, leveraging business intelligence tools, predictive models, statistical analysis and external benchmarks
  • Collaborates with other GBS HR teams in order to ensure HR data quality
  • Participates in HR global automation and data gathering projects with impact on BAT (. Quantum)
  • Collaborates closely with other functional data analytics teams outside of HR to combine data and provide end-to end view on people related topics
  • Collaborates closely with System Admin team to support the implementation of standard reporting to inform business activity monitoring on a regular basis
  • Constantly on the lookout for new technologies, trends and coding languages that can help the POA team in improving analytics creation or deep dive analysis
  • Translates analytics led business requirements into technical requirements, adopting a creative and problem-solving approach
  • Supports Business leaders, Line Managers and HR teams in designing, developing and implementing relevant metrics and measurements for workforce productivity, ROI, HR programme effectiveness, risk management and more to improve bottom line business results
  • Designs and implements tools, measures, visualisations and frameworks that optimise the adoption of a data driven HR culture and insight driven decision making within BAT, including through the adoption of:
    • Profiling of workforce dimensions and characteristics
    • Reporting of trends to inform business activity monitoring
    • Predictive analytics
    • Sentiment analysis
    • Costs associated with attracting and retaining key talent
    • Assessing employees with high risk flight, while considering corporate, psychological and social factors

 

  • Provides objective analysis to support data interpretation and has a key role in managing the expectation of possible data outputs and insights into performance measures
  • Monitors own performance against service standards to ensure that support and services are provided in line with established SLAs & KPIs
  • Ensures the collection, maintenance, accessibility and relevance of HR knowledge and content related to specialist area through Aurora channels in line with BAT standards. Works closely with relevant CoE to ensure specialist content hosted on knowledge management channels is line with strategy and works with Knowledge & Content Manager to upload as appropriate
  • Identifies opportunities to improve specialist services and processes and escalates appropriately
  • Works closely with System Admin team to determine if a greater level of insight and trend-based reporting can be delivered through the standard HR reporting catalogue to improve Line Managers decision making using people data
  • Manages relevant HR vendors related to specialism and oversees the execution of all administration related to the service provider relationship in line with agreed performance metrics
  • Trains and support stakeholders in correctly leveraging the HR Analytics Dashboard and ensures proper adoption of it
  • Design and create innovative solutions to predict future people turnover and identify key talent
  • Contribute to the transformation to a data driven GBS by creating and delivering projects to capture additional people data and visualizing it.
  • Support Global People & Org Analytics Lead as solution architect for all people related projects
  • Contribute to machine learning capabilities and solutions for HR
  • Researches externally & internally what new solutions, tools and capabilities can be adopted by POA team to become more streamlined, efficient and innovative
  • Integrates new innovative solutions into existing POA deliverable catalogue

 

 

Skills and Experience needed:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in Data Analytics and at least 1-year experience in management role
  • Capability of turning data into business information
  • HR Administration - High quality and accurate administration of HR services and processes, as appropriate to the role and customer need. Can understand what the administration is contributing to and how
  • Continuous Improvement - Looks to drive continuous improvement of the business by striving to see new opportunities and openings to deliver greater business value
  • Culture & Engagement - Knowledge and deployment of cultural championship initiative to align BAT values to continually drive diversity and cultural strength of the BAT EVP and colleague engagement
  • HR Metrics & KPIs - Understands HR data and how this can be gathered, manipulated and interpreted to inform decision making through MI reporting. Works with the System Admin team to produce relevant reports.
  • Data Visualization – expert in creating data visualizations in various BI tools and adjusting the design to improve UX
  • Coding languages – expert in data coding languages used for metric & KPI creation, statistical data analysis, data gathering and database management (SQL, DAX, Python & VBA)
  • Database management – understand how data needs to be connected from multiple sources and work towards ensuring constant flows of data
  • Advanced Analytics Knowledge – understands and is able to consolidate data from functions outside of HR and external sources and provide one single picture easily readable by stakeholders
  • Solution Architect – understands business requirements and is able to creates technological solutions suited for data and analytics consumption
  • Reward & Benefits Knowledge – understands principles of compensation, variable pay, benchmarking and country specifics
  • HR Policy & Process - Full end to end view of the HR policy and process landscapes and how to interpret content and execute advise or transactions as necessary for the role
  • Customer Service - Delivers service in role with the customer at the heart. Identifies continuous opportunities to deliver a high quality and professional output
  • Trusted Advisor - Is the go-to person for information and advice that is delivered with integrity and trust
  • Relationship Management - Is able to identify the appropriate stakeholders to work with and develop relationships with. Understands the needs and expectations of stakeholders and works effectively with them to deliver joint goals; is confident in adjusting style for BAT
  • Problem Solving - Diagnoses, negotiates and orchestrates the solutions to solve business problems

Implements appropriate risk mitigation to reduce risk likelihood and impact on delivering the project
