Placement Engineer (SMT)

Job Requirements

• Participates as core member of NPI team in all phases of project and new products implementation.

• Prepares process documentation including standard work packages,  manufacturing instructions and process specifications in a visual format.

• Analyses and updates BOMs.

• Tracks failures, prepares root cause analysis reports and propose corrective actions.

• Manages PCBA changes on the production line in accordance with design changes.

• Develops standard work and manufacturing process documentation defining the operation of the PCBA SMT equipment.

• Recommends  and supports implementation of actions  that drive continuous improvement.

• Offers support to a  variety of personnel including technicians, quality engineers, inspectors, planners.

• Ensure adherence to targets set for all Process Metric

• Work with wider team to ensure timely resolution of all production issues. Ensure absolute adherence to all Quality system, Company Safety System and Lean System requirements.

• Supports process development and cost improvement activities within the company.

Qualifications and experience

Technical University: Electronics Engineering.
Minimum 3 years experience in SMT processes.
Knowledge of SMT placement process, equipment and equipment programming/optimization (preferable: Panasonic systems).
 Knowledge of AOI equipment hardware & programming.
Understanding of electrical circuits schemes.
Basic knowledge of SMT equipment troubleshooting/maintenance.
Basic knowledge of IPC guidelines.
