Pricing Analyst

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under minimal supervision, prepares, researches, and analyzes moderately complex pricing proposals and contracts. Working with assigned business or group, provides tactical pricing support and advice in a timely and efficient manner to ensure optimal pricing levels.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responds to Requests

• Works with the account management team to fully understand and respond to the moderately complex business opportunities as well as begin initial negotiations on proposal terms.
• Supports business in responding promptly to requests for pricing and pricing-related information and advice.

Ad Hoc Reporting

• Utilizes existing pricing data at company and other available sources of external data to create responsive reports on an ad hoc basis.
• Summarizes results of ad hoc request and may include recommendations or alternatives for actions plans to address issue raised in report.
• Works on Large Deals
• Assists in the development and preparation of complex pricing proposals.
• Gathers and analyzes historical pricing data for the company and competitor pricing data.
• Summarizes data analysis, market trends, and potential business considerations in reports to present to management
• Helps with creating summaries, reasoning, and justification for recommendations to senior management.

Process Improvement

• Provides input into potential process improvements for standard tasks and processes.

REQUIREMENTS 

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Advanced spoken and written English-mandatory
• 2-4 years of relevant experience
• Proficient experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows is required.
• Intermediate Excel  is desired.

• Numerical skills: Provide a clear and precise response as well as easily detecting errors in pricing requests.
• Work under pressure: Give priority to urgent tasks, and meet the metrics assigned by SBS Management and Pricing Management.
• Teamwork: Achieving the team goals established by SBS Management and Pricing Management
