Ensure the implementation and compliance with Office Depot’s pricing strategy, collect, analyse and advise on pricing developments and develop and implement automated pricing tools, aligned with the category strategies re. product groups and sales strategies re. customer segments and specific customers, while using most recent purchase prices and pricing frameworks at all times and optimally executing the established pricing strategy. Taking care for offering the best products based on customer requirements and / or tender documents and Office Depot’s product strategies. Standard offers where product coding and pricing is based on general guidelines and the execution of these guidelines is unambiguous.

Description:

  • Responsible for all standardized and customized financial offers, including alignment of codes to requirements, cost of goods rates and recommended margin rates
  • Devise, implement and / or work alongside the best strategy and approach for bids that are submitted, thereby maximizing our chance of winning the business
  • Manage workflow from help desk, passing on to relevant areas for progress proactively
  • Manage all activities necessary to produce the customer offer like as a project to secure a quality and professional offer within the set targets incl. timelines. This includes coordinating and collating information from other internal departments to ensure an effective response to customer’s specific requirements
  • Work closely together with the Business Development Managers, Account Managers and Sales Management and all involved departments like Merchandising, Procurement and Finance, in order to effectively translate the customer’s requirements needs and pricing into a Winning Solution (transfer customer information to proposal including product matching and pricing template)
  • Participating in tender project kick-off conference calls and presenting assessments from Commercial Consideration templates as required
  • Organizing deadlines and coordinating all pricing activities related to customer acquisitions or retention through tenders
  • Building product baskets (product lists) based on specific tender requirements and sales management guidelines
  • Analyse bids processed in both effectiveness and time provision vs results
  • Full management of timely output and quality of bids allocated

Requirements:

  • Fluent in both written and verbal English 
  • High standard of Microsoft Excel (working in a reporting collation of data aspect )&Microsoft Word
  • Highly numerate and communicative
  • Able to manage the relationship with multiple (groups of) stakeholders on strategic/tactical level
  • Strong analytical and planning skills with the ability to prioritize workload 
  • Shows clear levels of composure when working to short timelines 
  • Capable of networking within and outside of the organisation to achieve optimum results
  • Commercial acumen and clear examples of customer emphasis within a similar role
