Primary school teachers are responsible for planning, teaching and assessing the Verita curriculum. They are expected to maintain a thorough understanding of both subject matter and pedagogy. Primary teachers are expected to treat their students with kindness and respect and to provide them with an outstanding international education which inspires students to achieve their full potential.
The successful candidate must have excellent English, a valid teaching certificate and a minimum of two years prior teaching experience and most importantly, you must love working with young people.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of up-to-date teaching pedagogy
- Knowledge of range of learning styles of students ages 6-11
- Skilled at differentiation
Primary areas of responsibility & accountability:
- Planning and Preparation.
- Prepare for assigned classes and show written evidence of preparation.
- Establish and articulate clear objectives for all lessons, units and projects to students.
- Link instructional objectives to the Verita curriculum.
- Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.
Secondary areas of responsibility & accountability:
- Be involved in extra-curricular activities
- Be involved in service learning

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education / Certification:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field
- Fluency in the English language
- Valid teaching certificate or equivalent
- Minimum of two years prior teaching experience (recommended)
