Principal Engineer – Runtime Foundation (Software Low Level Architecture)

Position Summary:

• Technical lead of Romania RTF team
• Technical lead for the system foundation architecture of one or more development projects in the field of infotainment systems, digital cockpits, and ADAS
• Act as ‘go-to Person’ for system foundation architecture topics within RFI’s, RFQ’s and internal/OEM projects
• Bridge between technical team of business unit, sales, program management and customers

Virtual Platforms are used for pre-silicon software development, HW/SW co-validation and architectural exploration. The Virtual platform team is a new collaborative group to develop virtual prototypes for future systems in ADAS and infotainment. The team works in the entire product development lifecycle including virtual prototyping, development and testing, infrastructure development, third party IP integration and deployment

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• No direct reports. But lead function in technical tasks

Job Responsibilities:

• Designing and reviewing the System Foundation Architecture and HW related low level SW architecture definition for infotainment systems, cockpits and ADAS for customer projects and internal platforms
• Presentation of the architectural working results in RFI- and RFQ-phase internally and towards the customer
• Lead the virtual platform development on customer programs
• Support analysis of functional requirements as well as requirements concerning the system architecture, especially analysis of influence towards the available system resources, on/off strategies, and system KPIs
• Support the HW and SW architect to define the architecture designs
• Define and own Software- and Hardware-Design- and Interface-definitions
• Lead/Support development of functional safety and security architectures and concepts
• Lead/Support the system level issue debugging in project execution
• Close communication with the responsible software and hardware project leaders and the Product- and Project Management of BU
• Guide and support the software and hardware developers to realize the architectural requirements, including verification of work results
• Acting inside a global team for global cooperation

Basic Qualifications:

•  Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Information Technology) or appropriate graduation
• 2+ years in Technial Team leading competencies
• 5+ years of professional experience architecting or developing systems for Infotainment, Telematics, Instrument Cluster and/ or ADAS with good product delivery tracking record
• Strong background in SoCs, IOC, networks, hardware and software architecture
• Experienced in Kernel/BSP development
• In-depth knowledge of system architecture styles and design principles, Doors, Enterprise Architect
• System modeling with Enterprise Architect

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in artificial intelligence for automotive/industrial applications
• Knowledge/Experience in ISO26262
