FUNCTION: GBS Finance

LOCATION: Bucharest

ROLE SUMMARY
This role is part of GBS Finance, Procure to Pay department. The role is responsible for handling the payments process within Banking team.

• Act as a SPOC (single point of contact) for the Banking Ops team and back up for TL for calls or critical meetings;
• Review and simplify the Manual Payments reports Sox;
• Manage complex escalation related to payments;
• Review payments manual workarounds & payments additional scope and work on reducing the effort;
• Bring value to the process by implementing improvements.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Offer training and support to involved parties in the payments process to reduce process mistakes and improve accuracy and efficiency
• Payment run & release; investigation of BATIF & bank clearing & payments status
• Ensure full support to the End Market by participating in payments workshops and register the progress on actions
• Banking ops initiatives/projects; Failed Payments & Payment Approvers; Review and check manual payments as per 4 eye principle
• Ensuring all e-mails queries are processed accurately and timely within internal agreements
• Fully involving in training in order to ensure a smooth and continuous knowledge transfer of all information related to AP process
• Perform payments process analysis, identify gaps and propose opportunities for optimization; Provide support and recommendations for improvements in the end to end Banking Ops process
• Understanding and applying relevant financial skills and knowledge

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE:

• At least 2 years of experience in Accounts Payable and minimum 1-year experience in a Senior Banking Ops role
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal skills
• Highly organized, ability to work well to tight deadlines
• Rigorous eye for detail: attention to detail and highly diligent approach to work
• Proactive with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under own initiative- pragmatic/lateral approach in finding solutions
• SAP or similar system knowledge
• Good command of English spoken and written
