Product Manager

For our business partner, an independently managed design and tech company based in Bucharest, we are looking for a creative Product Manager to define product strategy, ensure the end-to-end implementation and the post-release success of products.

Responsibilities

• Define product strategy and new features to support the company’s business needs and overall goals.
• Manage the creation and delivery of product documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer to internal and external customers.
• Assess current competitor’s offerings, looking for opportunities for differentiation, appraise new product ideas.
• Develop, implement, and maintain product development timelines across multiple departments together with the Project Manager.
• Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, use cases, technical requirements, product specifications and translate product strategy into detailed requirements for pilot and final product development.
• Ensure the end-to-end implementation of business requirements for the software application, working closely with the development team.
• Involvement in product iterations, develop the scope, and define prioritized backlog items (epics/features/user stories) that guide the development team.
• Ensure post-release success by monitoring product metrics and KPIs and by taking appropriate actions based on performance data.
• Develop product positioning and communication that differentiates it and its features across market segments.
• Analyze market data to develop sales strategies and define product objectives for effective marketing communications plans.
• Analyze consumer needs, current market trends, and potential partnerships from an ROI and build vs. buy perspective. 

Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience working with project teams involved in software/technology development as a Product Manager.
• Experience with: JIRA, Confluence, Slack.
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
• Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management.
• Good technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies.
• Previous experience in a start-up company
• Ability to coordinate market research, competitive analysis.
• Proven experience in developing a product vision, strategy, and roadmap and running beta and pilot programs.
• Ability and willingness to communicate expressively, clearly, to be unequivocally understood by members of the development team. 
• Negotiation skills.
• Decision-making capacity and responsibility for consequences.
• Advanced English skills.

Nice to have

• Agile methodology working experience, SCRUM
•  Experience with wireframing tools (like Balsamiq, Miro, Mockups, InVision Freehand, others)
