Job Description

In this role, you have the opportunity to:

• Be in the heart of the industrial footprint for one of the fastest growing sites within Philips Consumer Lifestyle. You can become part of this fast-paced changing environment and contribute as Production Manager for Romania Orastie Production Center.

You are responsible for:

• Leading the production unit, related processes and staff in the execution of world-class operational performance. Guiding Production Shift Leaders/Team Leaders;
• Arranging programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the manufacturing organization. Prepares manufacturing operation and investment plans;
• Executing plans to reduce costs.
• Delivering products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates; Ensures there is an optimum production process as regards routing, supplies and manpower levels.
• Maintaining commitment to environmental and quality regulations;
• Supervising, selecting, developing, coaching and evaluating personnel to ensure efficient manufacturing;
• Managing pilot production and production preparation activities;
• Analyzing and improving production performance by means of business metrics and KPI’s . reliability, productivity, and customer satisfaction;
• Ensuring there is an optimum production process as regards routing, supply of materials and capacity;
• Initiates replacement of production equipment and method.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:

• Advanced studies in Engineering – Bachelor Degree level;
• Minimum 6 years working experience on a senior role in production within a manufacturing environment;
• Leadership skills & people management experience (minimum 2 years);
• Expertise in relevant production methods and technology/new product introduction;
• Knowledge and understanding of environmental, safety and quality regulations;
• Problem solving skills and assembly operations management tools;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
• Budget and financial expertise;
• Fluent in English.
