Production Planner

We seek a Production Planner for our SMT production area.

Purpose

To ensure that all customer demands and requests are effectively planned into the Volume Manufacturing schedule.
To define and maintain a 'fit-for-purpose' planning process to suit the Manufacturing process with respect to changes in capacity and lead- time.
To liase with Sales giving accurate delivery dates and feedback on potential delays.
To build and maintain an ongoing relationships with major OEM customers in order to understand their product and delivery requirements.


Responsibilities 

To analyse output from planning tools with regard to inventory movements and capacity constraints.
To understand key operational constraints with regards to capacity, through put times, test times and materials availability, and to modify the planning process accordingly.
To control the product plan ensuring product mix/volumes are maximised to improve efficiency without large inventory increases and excessive Work in progress (.)
To monitor Kanban levels of stock in Dispatch meeting the agreed target levels ensuring Kanban replenishment orders meet their due dates.
To control MOD's to product ensuring Bills of material (.) or inventory transactions reflect any changes to product.
To coordinate phasing out of material related to product being made obsolete ensuring stock of non-required material is minimised.
To participate in improvement meetings in order to identify and implement changes that will benefit the performance and organisation of the manufacturing cell.
To contribute , be involved and actively support the continuous improvement process within every facet of the Fulfill Customer Order process.
