Professional Services Specialist

Responsibilities:

•Responsible for all technical aspects of a project including requirements gathering, design, customization, test, integration and deployment of solutions for Network Operators.

•Working on multiple problems of diverse scope where refinement of design/requirements will be necessary & is expected to drive resolution of requirements and issues. This involves taking requirements from multiple sources, such as customers and equipment vendors, plus planning and delivering the resultant project tasks and deliverables on time and to a high standard.

•Working onsite with customers as the primary technical contact and interfacing with them constructively and professionally.

•Technical representation at customer meetings, presentations and conferences.

•Producing requirements and design specifications and test plans in the course of implementing solutions.

•Leading the technical design and implementation of a project, guiding and support for the project team contributes significantly to the success of the team and is able to gain the co-operation of others.

•Liaise with the wider company teams (Engineering, Product Management, Support etc.) for issue resolution, new features and product enhancements.

•Demonstrates an organized, systematic, disciplined, and analytical approach to designing, problem solving, coding and defect fixing. Ensure that the team applies this approach in a coherent fashion to all aspects of the project life cycle.

•Continues to develop an appreciation of the wider field of telecommunication technology outside their own specialization and continues to develop a good broad understanding of computer system architecture, telecommunications technologies, telecommunications industry developments and trends.

Requirements:

Expertise:

•Experience in customer deployments / projects and committed to delivering excellent work with excellent people .•Relevant Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent degree.

•Experience in API testing field for at least 10 years and above.

•Experience in understanding of telecommunications environments, in particular within the Policy, Charging and Mediation domains, such as broader knowledge of the BSS/OSS environment.

•Ability to work independently& managing test effort in a project size consist of 5 -10 resources (not limited to QA resources).•Experience in leading /mentoring junior engineers.

•Interfacing with Customers on requirements definition and technical aspects of the project delivery.

•Interfacing with third party vendors for the integration of different components

•Interfacing with other teams including Sales, Support and Product Engineering teams.

•Designing the architecture of the end-to-end solution to be delivered.

•Write and review the requirement, design and test plan documents.

•Technical ownership of the deployment of the customer solution.

•Performing system integration activities in a Linux environment (configuration, testing, solution deployment in Production).

•Experience in a variety of technologies and test tooling, automated build and test systems is also essential, as is an analytical approach to problem-solving.

•Experience in providing RCA (Root cause analysis)

•Full project testing to customers (review & understand requirement, execute and document the test plan and test strategy for each of the test phases; analyse the Test Results and gather the required data for investigation).'

•Ability to articulate a technical discussion with customers.

•Excellent analytical, communication (both oral and written) and organizational skills and the ability to run multiple tasks at a given time

•Content of industry experience and ability to clearly describe technical content

Must Have:

•Strong UNIX/Linux (Red hat, Solaris, HP-UX) environment experience.

•Previous experience with Test Tools such as Selenium/Karate and JMeter.

•Proven Relational Database experience.•4+ years structured programming experience (Java is advantage).•Advanced Scripting experience (Shell, Python, Perl, TCL).•Experience with XML and/or SOAP.

•Familiarity with cloud-native, containerised solutions. Experience with Rancher, Kubernetes and Docker.

•Experience working on multi-threaded applications.

•Knowledge of development methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, SCRUM etc)and experience with Kanban/sprint.

Nice to Have:

•Knowledge of REST, Diameter, and other TCP/IP protocols.

•Experience in performance testing and exploratory test.

•At least ISTQB CTFL (Certified Tester Foundation Level) & above.
