Professional Test Developer

Miele Tehnica is a subsidiary of Miele & Cie. KG, Germany. We produce electronic components for a wide range of Miele appliances, such as washing machines, tumble dryers, vacuum cleaners, ovens and other household appliances. The products Miele offers to its customers set the standards for durability, performance, ease of use, energy efficiency, design and service.

To develop software in an agile environment, we are recruiting for a Professional Test Developer position at our software development division in Brașov. As Professional Test Developer, you will actively contribute on automating and maintaining existing and new automated tests.

Responsibilities:

• Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
• Implement and develop automated test practices for mobile application primarily using Appium and Xamarin UI test frameworks
• Design and create test scripts using Appium to address areas such as software scenarios, regression testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementation
• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test strategy and test plans
• Clarifies the requirements when needed
• Work and communicate effectively with other disciplines, task leaders, and project managers
• Provides reliable estimations for testing tasks and delivers accordingly.
• Properly identifies risks on assigned tasks.
• Responsible for automating and maintaining existing automated test cases.
• Set the correct priorities for the assigned tasks based on the project needs, timeframe and identified risks.

Education:

• Degree in Computer Science or related engineering discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:

• At least 3 years of experience with testing one of frameworks (Selenium, Appium WebDriver, Pytest, Xamarin UI test is a plus)
• At least 2 years programming knowledge in OOP (C# or Python), design and debugging skills
• Experience of developing automated test cases in mobile applications.
• Experience of source control systems and configuration management (Bitbucket, Sourcetree)
• Experience in Agile development methodologies – SCRUM preferable
