Description
- Manage the local IT services team to support and maintain company IT infrastructure
- Support reliable IS&T services to the users and customers, securing the availability of IS&T operations
- Ensure the adequate support of the business systems including planning, testing, deployment, integration, change control, IS&T operation and a proactive approach over the business necessities
- Oversee infrastructure upgrades, modifications and deployments
- Conduct risk assessment and develop mitigation plans
- Maintains relationships with technology, software, and security providers (internal and external)
- Maintains accurate inventory of hardware, software, and other relevant IS&T tools
- Work with the team to develop problem management and service improvement plans
- Ensure team follows best practices and maintain service level agreements
- Assist in staff recruitment, training, performance evaluation, promotion, retention and termination activities
Experience & soft skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, information science, or in a related computer disciplines
- Service Delivery / Management experience (3+ years) in similar roles in medium to large sized company
- High level of IT competence with aptitude for learning new technologies and processes with a focus on Service Desk and ITIL technologies and processes
- Strong verbal and written communication capabilities with experience of interaction at senior level
- Effective problem solver with ability to examine and re-engineer processes, procedures and practices
- Communicates written and verbal complex information and ideas to multidisciplinary stakeholders and is able to explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues
Technical skills
- ITIL Foundation - Incident / Change / Service / SD Management
- Network management – DNS/DHCP administration, TCP/IP networking
- Server management - Windows, Linux, Virtual Machine (Xen Center preferable)
- AD management – user / group / computer policies
- Scripting basic knowledge - PowerShell, shell, bash, pearl
- DB basic knowledge - SQL, MS Access, ODBC
- O365 platform knowledge
