Project buyer

Responsibilities:

• Identifies potential suppliers for materials and services
• Asks for quotations, evaluates the quotations, negotiates purchase prices and delivery conditions, places purchase orders, follows up the deliveries
• Qualifies and develops suppliers in accordance to HARTING requirements
• Has the ability to understand the content of a contract
• Involves suppliers in project activities
• Acts as a member in project teams, being the interface between the project teams and the suppliers
• Manages project activities from purchasing point of view, from project start until release for series production
• Identifies measures in order to reduce purchase costs, in order to achieve cost objectives

Requirements:

• University degree
• Good verbal and writing communication skills
• Ability to negotiate and establish business relationships
• Analytical spirit, capacity to evaluate facts and figures
• Capacity to take important decisions and to deal with ambitious tasks and working under time pressure
• Advanced knowledge of at least one foreign language – English or German. German knowledge would be an advantage
• Experience in purchasing of materials and components within an industrial production company
• Ability to be an active team member within international multidisciplinary teams
• PC knowledge: working with MS Office. SAP knowledge would be an advantage
• Driving license: category B
