We're looking for a driven colleague to join our Bucharest team as a Project Manager and lead on business development, planning and delivery of the British Council’s Schools and Society work in Romania.

British Council is the UK organization for Cultural Relations and educational opportunities. We promote friendly knowledge and understanding between the UK and Romania.

Location -  British Council is based in Bucharest, right in the heart of the City, in an excellent location in Dorobanti area, close to the metro station Piata Romana.

Salary - trei mii noua sute RON net/month

Duration - 2 years (maternity cover)

Working hours - Full-time (8 hours/day)

Annual leave - 22 days

Role overview

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

  • develop and maintain a strong strategic approach to the Schools and Society programme 
  • maintain and develop close understanding of the external Schools / Civil Society environment in Romania and the UK, in order to identify opportunities for partnerships and programmes.
  • develop partnerships and project ideas
  • projects Management
  • contribute to multilateral programme development
  • deliver high quality communications which ensure a high impact of our work in Schools and Society

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • managing projects

  • managing accounts and partnerships

  • good communication skills in Romanian and English (CEF level C1)
