We are looking for a PURCHASING MANAGER (VAG Group cars related spare parts)
We are hiring a purchasing Manager, a driven and ambitious person, capable of managing the whole range of activities related to the acquisition and administration of the spare parts portfolio of a specific car brand. This is an important role in the organization and requires strong collaboration with external partners and internal team members.
Main responsibilities
· Ensures rigorous, on time, follow up and implementation of the existing policies and procedures related to purchasing of the specific category/segment/brand product range;
· Ensures continuous development and implementation of new products/segments.
· Recommends suppliers and products;
· Plans, implements and manages the performance of the inventory, and suppliers;
· Uses extensively the Material Requirements Planning module, to ensure adequate product availability
· Participates in the brand reviews, identifies trends, innovations, gathers relevant insights, analysis and monitors market conditions and evolution, and alters accordingly the brand strategy and assortment optimization;
· Analysis the product positioning in the market, ensures competitiveness – coordinates and ensures implementation of adequate promotional plans;
· Participates in the sales forecasting process - accountability;
· Analysis sales reports, customers’ demands, and coordinates with the Category Manager and the sales team to meet and exceed sales targets;
· Builds effective relationships with suppliers, including contract negotiations.
Skills, Experience
· University degree;
· Automotive spare parts market knowledge, specific to the VAG Group;
· Product/brand management experience -minimum 3 years;
· A team-focused, collaborative approach – able to develop effective relationships across the organization at all levels;
· Communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
· Good listener, focused on gaining valuable customers’ insights (internal and external);
· Well organized, with strong analytical skills;
· Good command of English;
· Advanced MS Office user (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
· SAP Business One knowledge would be an advantage;
