Procurement Specialist 

The position reports hierarchically to EVRO Purchasing Manager

THE POSITION AND THE CANDIDATE PROFILE

Role:

A procurement specialist is responsible for ensuring company in a timely manner the right materials and equipment necessary to function and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory.

 Main responsibilities:

 Researching and identifying prospective suppliers.

• Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.
• Evaluating products and suppliers according to key business criteria.
• Preparing proposals, requesting quotes, and negotiating purchase terms and conditions.
• Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements.
• Ensures that products are delivered in a timely manner, and that the quality of the goods received is satisfactory and resolving shortcomings
• Managing transports, transport organization and optimization based on incoming material.
• Orders goods such as office supplies on a continuing basis in order to maintain certain inventory levels
• Checks invoices for accuracy, and authorizes, under Purchasing Managers’s supervision, the accounts payable department to issue payment
• Evaluates the performance of certain suppliers in order to decide whether or not to continue buying from them
• Inventories items in order to determine which ones need to be purchased
• Enters data concerning inventory and order amounts into a computer database
• Preparing reports and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records.
• Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards

 Personal and Professional:

• 2+ years of experience as a Purchasing Specialist or in a similar role in an international company (more than 300 employee)

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a similar field preferred.

• Good knowledge of English, Italian will be considerate ad advantage

• Self-motivated and goal oriented, with a positive proactive attitude and a high degree of initiative
• Ability to effectively analyze data, to work with targets, resistance to repetitive work, team player, meticulous and constant work, complete the profile
• Experience with SAP or willing to learn, good computer skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word
• Grade and salary will be commensurate with ability and goals
