Purchasing specialist

Job Description:

• Research and identify potential suppliers capable of supplying (custom) equipment and/or services required four our development and new projects development;
• Supplier Selection
• Conduct sourcing, bid evaluation, selection and procurement of materials and services as required;
• Supplier Evaluation
• Prepare purchase orders, get required approvals and issue purchase orders to suppliers;
• Ensure that purchase order terms and conditions incorporate technical details, schedule and quality terms and conditions; including flow down of the terms and conditions of the local and international legislation as required;
• Negotiate prices, terms of delivery and payment (note Incoterms)
• Perform evaluation and pre-qualification of potential suppliers including researching historical performance and financial strength and validate supplier references through contact with previous customers;
• Ensure that purchase orders are approved and placed in accordance with companies policies and execute the purchase orders in an accurate and timely manner;
• Expedite suppliers as required to ensure on-time delivery of material and completion of services;
• Implementation specifications of strategic purchasing (indirect material)
• Regular exchange with the HQ.

The Ideal Candidate:

• You have a completed technical degree or commercial degree with profound technical understanding or a comparable well-founded specialized training with appropriate professional experience;
• You have 3-5 years of professional experience in a comparable role;
• You have a good understanding of technical processes and processes as well as a strong affinity to numbers;
• You have a far-sighted, analytical mind combined with the ability to handle complex issues transparently;
• You possess a "hands-on" mentality and are characterized by an autonomous, structured, pragmatic as well as solution-oriented and goal-oriented way of working;
• You are a good communicator at all levels with pronounced presentation skills; a team-oriented, sympathetic and open personality with conviction and assertiveness;
• You have very good English and/or German skills and enjoy working in international teams;
• You are safe in dealing with the MS Office package. SAP R3 knowledge is desirable but not a must.
