QA Automation Engineer

Position Overview:

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our team and help us improve a platform application for financial services.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance automation frameworks and Test harnesses for QA Team;
• Build automation suites to support sprint level, regression or end-to-end tests;
• Lead, develop and deliver automated solutions by agreed implementation timeframes;
• Collaborate with delivery teams on automation solutions, tools and capabilities;
• Develop pilots and provide demos of the solutions to delivery team;
• Create automated test cases according to standards and frameworks;
• Perform problem solving and root cause analysis when defects occur;
• Research and evaluate new testing technologies and tools;
• Provide guidance around automation strategies working with Manager, end-to-end test teams and Delivery teams;
• Evaluate and recommend process or technical changes to partner organizations;
• Participate on continuous improvement efforts within the QA and Dev organizations.

Required Skills:

• Prefer at least 3 years of experience in testing;
• Experience building test automation for various products and services on multiple platforms;
• Experience with financial markets;
• Experience working with off-shore testing resources;
• Ability to work in a fast paced delivery environment;
• Experience or exposure to Agile Development;
• Experience with JIRA;
• Strong Java, Selenium, Jenkins, Maven, SQL & NoSQL knowledge;
• Experience testing and building automated testing solutions for web applications and web services (API’s);
• Experience with Continuous Integrations tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc.);
• Solid programming knowledge in Java desired;
• Experience with developing and working with different automation frameworks and tools;
• Strong knowledge in back-end database validations;
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar field.

• Agile automation experience (JBehave, cucumber, TestNG);
• Version control systems (git, svn) and experience in working in a team on a single codebase;
• Bitbucket;
• Experience working with CI tools;
• Experience with ant/maven.
