What will you be doing as the QFS Manager?

The QFS Manager is responsible for the Quality and Food safety (QFS) Department in Romania. In this role, you have an essential job in the organization. By partnering with the Leadership team, you will influence the business strategy, development and execution. Followed by improving business processes and reducing risk by continues improvement projects in QFS. One of the challenges is to harmonize the QA and QC in the region and building a strong link and relationship to the operations. Furthermore, you establish, record and report KPI’s that are in line with the global QFS KPI’s.

Quality Management systems is an important part of the department. You organize, coordinate an execute the internal audit process. Simultaneously, ensuring preparedness within the region for external audits by agencies. In addition, you organize quality reviews in relation to activities and services by third parties. As the QFS Manager you provide advice to the stakeholders and organize regular trainings. The team monitors product safety and works with cross-functional partners on improvement initiatives through the organization. You identify deviations and provide input for changes in products to stakeholders.

The QFS Manager is responsible for the plant in Romania. In this position, it is essential to have great communication skills and the ability to manage people. Taking lead of the department means developing and coaching the quality professionals throughout their career and ensuring the production of safe products that meet our customer demands. The ability to promote and install a healthy culture, which will benefit the organization.

Required profile

What do we expect from our QFS Manager?

 An experienced leader with a positive mindset. You have strong communication skills and the ability to manage a team. Furthermore, you take initiative and have a broad view without losing sight of the details. Additionally, we expect:

• Bachelor level (or equivalent ability) in Food Technology, Chemistry or related;
• 5 years of experience in Quality and Food safety;
• 3 years of experience in managing a team;
• Experience with food safety regulations in the region/country;
• Strong communication skills in Romanian and English (both speaking & writing);
• Eligible to work in Romania, living in the Buzau area or willing to relocate.
