For this role you will need:
•Graduate of higher technical education such as Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred Mechanical Engineering);
•2-5 years’ experience in quality/production, engineering and metrology;
•Experience in working with statistical tools specific to quality system;
•Experience with mechanical parts and technical drawings (interpretation);
•Good written and verbal communication skills, including English;
•Experience with problem solving techniques and structured approach to problems;
•Knowledge of ISO standards, Quality Management Systems;
•Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office experience (MS Word / Excel / Power Point)
•Candidate must be able to interface well with approval agencies with help from Global Product Approval team;
•Qualified candidates must possess a high level of self-discipline, ability to multitask and understand organizational risk;
•Hands on experience with hazardous location product safety standards a plus.

By joining Emerson on this position, you will have a significant role in supporting all aspects of the Measurement Solution Group Quality Management System (QMS) and support hazardous location product approvals.
This includes internal auditing, external audits, testing of test equipment, documentary control, corrective actions, quality (OBQ) inspection of Out-of-Box inspections.
Position will also coordinate local hazardous location approval certifications. Position also helps in the process of auditing, process training, investigating complaints from the customer and in the process of continuous improvement.

In this role you will:
•Maintain the Quality Management System with on-line access;
•Manage product approvals as local liaison with Global Product Approval team;
•Develop the checklists for process and system audits and QMS auditing; verify alignment to established procedures and standards;
•Report the audits results in the responsible department, in an appropriate management analysis format;
•Take action to prevent nonconformities based on audit results;
•Maintain accurate and complete records of audit results and corrective actions;
•Identifies quality trends from process and system audits and ensures that corrective / preventive actions are implemented;
•To engage and promote continuous improvement activities at the organization level, including Yellow Belt training;
•Elaborate, implement and maintain a metrology tracking system to ensure calibration requirements are met. Ensure calibrations are accurate, timely and effective;
•Evaluate and approve calibration service providers to ensure their qualification and traceability to national and international standards;
•Maintain effective traceability records for all metrology requirements and standards;
•Help other departments in developing procedures and updates and working instructions;
•Active member in teams for developing new products;
•Ensure that quality data is collected, analyzed and reported to the quality manager;
•Support appropriate improvement actions with all departments involved to maintain the quality objectives (scrap, internal PPM, etc.) within targets;
•Ensure implementation of actions and their effectiveness and efficiency;
•Participate in customer complaint tracking, root cause analysis.
