Description

Responsibilities:

 

  • Internal and external contact person for all EHS issues; participate in internal work groups (. global EHS Board);

  • Technical lead of the EHS employees at the sites and determine resources need;

  • Provide support in specifying and enhancing global EHS standards and complex processes (. risk assessment, evaluation of environmental aspects, hazardous substance management );

  • Introduce and monitor adherence to global EHS standards, the governance specifications;

  • Develop, introduce and monitor regional EHS standard in compliance with legal specifications and as per agreement with global EHS Management;

  • Observe/identify trends on all the EHS issues; work out concepts and recommended action for the plant managers;

  • Lead EHS projects in the region (. reduce accident-based downtimes, projects on energy savings, projects to optimized workplace conditions/employee satisfaction);

  • Responsible for EHS-KPI reporting in the region;  monthly check for completeness and monitoring of the EHS performance; specify corrective and preventive action for identified deviations per agreement with the site.

  • Ensure EHS reporting to external interested circles (. CDP report) in the region;

  • Introduce, maintain and enhance the EHS Management System (. ISO, ISin the region;

  • Responsible for EHS certification (. ISO, ISin the region; evaluate certification capability and derive recommended action for the appropriate site management;

  • Participate in internal and external audits on the EHS management system;

  • Check and ensure adherence to all the relevant EHS requirements (. laws, customer requirements);

  • Advise and support the site manager and the executives in all the EHS-related tasks (. occupational safety, waste management, hazardous substance management, energy management);

 

Requests:

  • Polytechnic/university degree focusing on occupational safety and/or company environmental protection;

  • At least 5 years in an EHS environment;

  • Country-specific training in occupational safety;

  • Auditor training (ISand/or IS– is a plus;

  • Leadership, intercultural competences, social competence, conceptual and analytic mindset;

  • Very good command of English;

  •  Profound target-oriented problem and cause analysis, derivation and design of solution approaches for different and complex problems;
