Security Engineer

You’ll be our first security engineer. We expect you to perform code reviews, audits, penetration tests, trainings and to generally drive the organization towards better security practices. You must be able to write code when we need changes to security-sensitive components (e.g. authorization, middleware). We have plenty of software systems, legacy and modern and plenty of high traffic websites, which means the stakes are high. Most of the work we do is in the area of classifieds portals.

Our environment is low on processes and meetings with a strong emphasis on best practices and code quality. We have loosely defined teams of people who put a high value on personal autonomy. If this sounds tempting to you and you think you are a good fit, we would love to hear from you!

Skills & Requirements

• University Degree in CS, CE or closely related
• At least 3 years of experience writing code professionally
• At least 3 years of experience with web application security
• Experience with relevant security tools
• Experience with conventional cloud services providers; AWS is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication skills; we have to ship software quickly and you’ll have to convince us to sometimes slow down for good reasons

Technology

We don't really believe the technology is that important as a recruiting filter so it is not relevant what you already know as long as you are a good engineer. You will have ample time to ramp up just fine. But. We know you want to know so here is the stack:

• Python, Django, React, Redux, Express
• Other buzzwords: Universal Web Apps, Machine Learning, Heroku, AWS, Algolia
