Senior accountant

Expectations for the Senior Accountant :

• Records accounting information in ERP system for his / her area of accounts / subsidiaries. Ensures the integrity of accounting information, verifying, consolidating, reconciling transactions.
• Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
• Contributes to financial status reports by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
• Collaborates with internal and external audit, providing compiled and direct information in order to achieve audit objectives.
• In all accounting & financial activities complies with legal requirements, standards and company policies.
• Complies with IT policies related to digital access and digital security.
• Direct responsibility over information confidentiality – related to her/his area of exposure and according to company policies. 

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is a must
• Expert Accountant Certification and/ or ACCA Certification would be considered as a plus
• 5+ years of experience
• Experience in financial reporting
• Fluency in English (writing, reading, listening, and speaking )

Competences:

• General Accounting knowledge and competencies
• Knowledge of Romanian Accounting Standards
• Knowledge of Romanian Financial Reporting
• Financial software (ERP) exposure
• Previous experience with E10 / Scala would be considered as a plus
• IFRS exposure would be considered as a plus
• Knowledge of Financial Analysis
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
