Senior Accountant

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Responsibilities 

• Provide data analytics and transactional support to the Finance Business Areas
• Assist in period end close duties including journal posting, reconciliations
• Provide analysis of system data, engineering stores and other to the business
• Prepare key monthly reports to support decision making
• Gather data for and uploads forecasts to business systems; performs checks to ensure accuracy of uploaded data
• Provision of variance analysis vs. budget, flex budget, previous forecasts and prior year.
• Performs activities related to the finance closes including posting journal entries, performing reconciliations, & maintaining appropriate documentation.  
• Analyses information and variances; identify, investigate and explain variances from prior periods and exceptions 
• Is direct responsible for the accuracy of the P&L and balance sheet
• Answers questions from Business Partners by researching and interpreting data.

Other Responsibilities

• Trains other team members regarding the daily tasks whenever necessary and requested by the manager
• Creates and updates the working procedures periodically
• Identifies and implements improvement ideas for standardizing the process

SKILLS AND RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• 3-5 years work experience within Finance
• Strong Romanian GAAP knowledge - US GAAP is a plus
• ACCA / CIMA / CECCAR certifications highly appreciated
• Prior experience in Shared Service Centers highly preferred
• Advanced English level, both written and spoken
• Good MS Office knowledge
• SAP experience or another ERP system preferred.
