Senior Android Developer

The Challenge

Build the best password manager on the market, making sure users accounts and data stay secure. The features you will build will help users in applying good password practices, using strong unique passwords while still providing ease of use. The security status overview will make the users aware of any risks their accounts might be exposed to.

As next step you will add support for new data types including credit cards, addresses, passports documents and more.

The Android application is part of a larger system developed by the team covering also iOS, web and browser extensions.

The Team

The team is distributed across two locations, Bucharest and Tettnang. The Bucharest team with 2 iOS developers one Android developer and you are focusing on mobile development, the team in Tettnang with 5 developers and 1 devops covers the web, extension and backend development.

Being a diverse team with members from 8 different countries across the globe and different technical backgrounds everyone is always eager to support each other and exchange ideas.

You will be reporting to Markus Hartung, Engineering Lead for the Identity Protection Unit located in Tettnang.

What you will do

• Develop using the latest technologies (Kotlin, Jetpack, Autofill API, …)
• Keep up to date with changes to Android’s autofill API and improve the integration
• Integrate with Amazon Web Services based backends
• Use continuous integration to support development and releasing
• Support design and product management in finding the best solution for each platform
• Use data from Google Play Store and Mixpanel to make informed decision
• Make decisions about architecture and technologies used
